Eyeliner

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is permanent eyeliner?
Permanent eyeliner is a cosmetic tattoo that enhances the lash line, giving the appearance of fuller lashes and defined eyes. It can be customized for a natural or bold look, from a subtle lash enhancement to a classic winged liner.

Who is a good candidate for this service?
Anyone who wears eyeliner regularly or wants to simplify their beauty routine may be a candidate. It's also great for those with allergies to traditional makeup, contact lens wearers, or individuals with shaky hands or vision challenges.

Does it hurt?
We apply a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure to keep you comfortable. Most clients report minimal discomfort—similar to a light scratching or tickling sensation.

How long does the procedure take?
Appointments usually take about two hours, including consultation, numbing, and the tattooing process.

What styles can I choose from?
You can choose between a soft lash enhancement (very natural), a defined classic liner, or a subtle wing. During your consultation, we’ll discuss the best option based on your eye shape and desired look.

What is the healing process like?
Expect light swelling and mild tightness around the eyes for the first day or two. There may be slight flaking as the pigment settles. Healing typically takes 7–10 days, with final results visible after about 3–4 weeks.

Will I need a touch-up?
Yes, a perfecting session is recommended 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure to reinforce pigment and adjust any areas as needed.

How long does permanent eyeliner last?
Results can last 1–3 years depending on your skin type, lifestyle, and aftercare. Over time, the pigment fades softly and can be refreshed with a color boost session.

Can I wear eye makeup after the procedure?
Avoid eye makeup for at least 7–10 days during healing. After that, you can resume normal makeup use, but always keep the area clean to prevent irritation or infection.

Are there risks or side effects?
Minor swelling, redness, or dryness is normal for a few days. In rare cases, irritation or allergic reactions may occur. We use high-quality, hypoallergenic pigments and follow strict hygiene protocols to minimize risks.

Is it safe for people with lash extensions or previous eyeliner tattoos?
You must remove lash extensions at least 48 hours before your appointment. If you have previous eyeliner tattoos, a consultation is required to determine whether correction or removal is needed before proceeding.

What should I do before my appointment?
Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and blood thinners (like aspirin or fish oil) 24 hours prior. Do not wear lash extensions or contact lenses to your appointment, and remove all eye makeup beforehand.
