LIP BLUSH - FAQ

What is lip blush?

Lip blush is a cosmetic tattoo that enhances the natural color, shape, and definition of your lips. It creates a soft, tinted look—similar to a natural lip stain—while improving overall symmetry.

What is lip neutralization?

Lip neutralization is a specialized technique designed for clients with darker or uneven lip tones. It works to balance and correct underlying pigmentation, creating a more even and neutral base before achieving your desired lip color.

Will my lips look natural?

Yes. Our goal is to enhance your natural lip tone—not create a heavy or overdone appearance. Results are soft, sheer, and buildable over time.

How long does the appointment take?

Appointments typically take 2–3 hours, including consultation, color selection, and the procedure.

Does lip blush hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied throughout the procedure to keep you comfortable. Most clients describe the sensation as mild discomfort or light irritation.

How long do results last?

Lip blush results typically last 2–3 years, depending on your lifestyle, skin type, and aftercare.

What is the healing process like?

Healing takes about 7–10 days, with full results visible in 6-8 weeks.

You may experience:

  • Initial swelling and tenderness

  • Brighter or more intense color immediately after

  • Peeling or flaking

  • Color softening and settling over time

Will my lips be very bright at first?

Yes. Lips will appear more vibrant immediately after your appointment. This is temporary. The color will soften and heal into a more natural tone.

How many sessions will I need?

  • Lip blush typically requires 2 sessions

  • Lip neutralization may require multiple sessions depending on the depth of pigmentation

Results are built gradually for the most natural outcome.

Is a touch-up included?

Yes, one touch-up is included if completed within 10 weeks of your initial appointment.

After 8 weeks, the appointment will be considered a maintenance session and will require an additional fee.

Can I get lip blush if I have dark lips?

Yes, but you may require lip neutralization first to correct underlying tones before achieving your desired color.

What if I have a history of cold sores?

If you have a history of cold sores, you must take an antiviral medication prior to your appointment to prevent a flare-up.

Please consult your healthcare provider before your appointment.

Can my lips heal unevenly?

Yes. Some areas may retain more color than others during healing. This is normal and will be adjusted during your touch-up session.

How do I prepare for my appointment?

  • Stay well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment

  • Gently exfoliate your lips prior to your visit

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine 24 hours before

  • If prone to cold sores, begin antiviral medication as directed

When will I see my final results?

Final results are visible after your touch-up session (6-8 weeks) once healing is complete.

How do I book an appointment?

All appointments must be scheduled online. You will receive full preparation instructions after booking.
